Arena Riding Instruction

Our arena riding instruction lesson will introduce you to the basics and fundamentals of horsemanship. We begin each class in the barn, where you will learn how to groom and tack your horse using our authentic Western tack. After tacking, riders progress to the covered arena, where you’ll develop the skills necessary to ride safely on all our trails. This instruction offers private one-on-one time with one of our accomplished instructors and horse trainers. Lessons are taught using classic methods, with a primary focus on developing the rider’s overall balance and control. To ensure you have the absolute best experience, we ask that you provide us with your height, weight, and any previous riding experience you have so we can best fit you to your horse. This class is suitable for riders of all experience levels, ages 12 and up.

Trail Ride

Come join us for a trail ride led by one of our many skilled guides. Guests will have the opportunity to ride through our rolling pastures, pecan grove, or alongside one of the two lakes located on our property. Trail rides are walking expeditions ideal for guests who are looking to disconnect and enjoy a serene wildlife viewing experience.  To ensure you have an exemplary experience, we request basic information such as the rider’s height, weight, and previous riding experience so we can best fit you to your horse.  This ride is suitable for riders of all experience levels, ages 12 and up.

Liberty Training

An advanced offering to our arena instruction, Liberty Training is a method without the use of physical restraints, which fosters a strong bond and partnership between horse and human, as it requires a high level of trust and communication between the two.

In our Liberty Training program, the horse is allowed to move freely around the trainer, who uses body language, voice cues, and other signals to guide the horse's movements and behaviors. This can include movements such as circling, backing up, or changing direction, as well as more advanced maneuvers like jumping or performing dressage movements.

At Quercus we use sustainable and biodynamic agricultural methods to raise our produce as naturally and organically and possible.
